Steel Fixer
Description
The Steel Fixer is responsible for positioning
assembling
and securing steel bars and mesh used to reinforce concrete structures. The role ensures all reinforcement work is completed according to engineering drawings
specifications
and safety standards to support structural integrity on construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints to determine steel requirements
- Measure
- cut
- bend
- and shape steel bars and mesh to required dimensions using hand and power tools.
- Position and secure steel reinforcement using wire
- clips
- or welding.
- Place spacers and supports to maintain proper concrete cover.
- Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy
- alignment
- and compliance with specifications.
