- Read and interpret construction drawings

and specifications to determine rebar requirements. - Measure

cut

bend

and shape steel bars using hand tools

power tools

and machinery. - Assemble and install rebar cages

meshes

and frameworks in foundations

columns

beams

and slabs. - Secure rebar in place using wire ties

clamps

or welding equipment. - Work with cranes and other lifting equipment to position heavy rebar structures. - Inspect rebar placements to ensure accuracy and alignment with design specifications. - Collaborate with engineers

supervisors

and other construction workers. - Follow health and safety regulations

including wearing PPE and maintaining a hazard-free work area. - Repair or modify existing rebar structures as needed.
